VISTA WEDDING SITE - GENERAL INFORMATION AND POLICIES SCHEDULING Weddings: We schedule weddings in two hour blocks. The available times are: Receptions: Receptions are available in four hour blocks immediately following the ceremony or starting two hours after a prior event. * November through March event times may adjust to sunset times. INITIAL DEPOSIT We require a $300.00 deposit for weddings and a $600.00 deposit for receptions. This will go toward your balance. For example, booking a wedding and reception requires a $900.00 deposit. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable as it secure the date and time of your function, and we turn away all other requests. PAYMENT SCHEDULE 30% of the balance is due six months prior the scheduled date, 30% remaining balance is due three months prior to the scheduled date. Payment in full is required four weeks prior to the scheduled date. EXCEPTION: BOOKINGS FOR HOLIDAYS REQUIRE PAYMENT IN FULL AT TIME OF INITIAL RESERVATION! We require a $300.00 cleaning and damage deposit. This is to be paid with the balance due and is refundable, by mail, provided the facility is left undamaged and there is no excessive cleaning. There will be a $10.00 per day late fee past the due date on all payments, up to seven days late and then your deposit and requested event date will be forfeited. CANCELLATION POLICY All cancellations must be in writing. Initial deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. All payments made prior to cancellation are non-refundable and non-transferable. ALCOHOL PERMIT We are in a county park and are therefore required to petition the county for permission to allow alcohol at your event. This entails filling out an additional form at the first wedding meeting and having one or two county approved security officers (depending on the size of your function). We will secure the permit, get authorization from the county, and hire the officers. We will need a minimum of four weeks to process the paperwork through the county. You will need to provide servers, and abide by all state and federal laws governing service of alcohol. Puddingstone Resort will not be assisting with the serving or handling of alcohol to the applicant or guests. Selling alcohol, on our premises, is not allowed. PARKING Handicapped parking is provided at the top of the hill to the south of the office. We have two spaces. If you have additional people who have difficulty walking. you are welcome to have them transported up the circular driveway, dropped off at the top, and then the vehicle returned to the parking lot below. All other guest parking is to be directed to the East Lot - on the east side of the street. Limousines for the bride and groom may drive to the top of the hill and park in the driveway, however the driver must remain with the vehicle. RESTRICTIONS Glass is not allowed around the pool deck area. This is for safety reasons. Please inform your caterers to use non-breakable service. Decorations are allowed - do not use adhesives (tape, glue, etc). Table decorations - do not use glitter or confetti. We only allow you to throw grass seed, or use bubbles, due to safety and environmental concerns. STORAGE Any items left will be held for 30 days, at which time they will be given to charity. |
